“We aim to make Technics Cafe KYOTO a base for creating encounters between diverse people, music, and culture, and a place where you can enjoy new music styles that inherit and create high-end audio and DJ culture for a new era”.

Panasonic Corporation steps into the realm of sonic innovation with the grand opening of Technics Café KYOTO on Shijo Street, Japan. The café, unveiled on Sound Day, December 6, redefines the conventional music space by seamlessly blending high-quality sound with a contemporary café setting and naturally features their iconic SL-1200MK7 DJ turntables.

Architect Yusuke Seki‘s design showcases a minimalist aesthetic, adorned with clear geometries and embodying the message of ‘Rediscovering Music.’

As a space for creating connections between people, music, and culture, the café will regularly hold various music events such as audio live performances, collaboration projects and DJ performances. The space uses RAMSA’s professional audio system that achieves “high functionality and high sound quality”.

The debut event, AUDIO LIVE vol.1, featured producer Naoki Tachikawa as a guest.

You can find the Technics Cafe KYOTO in the Kyoto Shijo Shinmachi Building, Kyoto City.

Open 11am till 8pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
