Morgan announces The Super 3 Origins Collection

Drawing on the influences and inspirations that shaped this high-performance three-wheeler

The nine themes explore the inspirational ingredients that featured in the sketch books, mood boards and across the walls of Morgan’s design studio at the dawn of Super 3’s design journey.

The Malvern-based Morgan redies the launch of a new limited-edition Super 3 Origins Collection. A dramatic expression of the original inspirations for Super 3.

Encapsulating the history, culture and design themes that inspired our most rebellious model, Super 3 Origins is a limited-edition series of nine unique specifications, each limited to just nine examples.

Famous the world over for its unique blend of craft, heritage and pure driving experience, the Morgan Motor Company has been manufacturing quintessentially British vehicles in Malvern, UK, for more than 110 years. Passed down through generations, the same craftsmanship skills that were integral during the founding of the Morgan Motor Company in 1909 are as alive today as they have ever been.

Now in their fourth generation, the Morgan family continue to act as stewards for the brand, upholding the values of the company and ensuring their family legacy lives on with each new Morgan produced. The Morgan family retain a shareholding of the company, alongside majority shareholders Investindustrial, who announced in 2019 that they would be investing heavily in the Morgan Motor Company and its long-term future building cars in Britain. As part of Investindustrial’s investment into the Morgan Motor Company, the management team and staff were rewarded with share in the business.

Part car, part motorbike – each of the nine specs will be made in an edition of nine cars, a total of 81 vehicles that showcase the companies ability to build bespoke cars using a variety of materials and colours. The specifications have largely self-explanatory titles, drawing on pop cultural references as well as engineering and automotive keystones. From a baseline of three core characteristics, Classic, Contemporary and Touring, the design team has clearly enjoyed itself drawing together this brightly coloured fleet.

The Morgan Motor Company provides a fitting antidote to mass-produced automotive manufacturing, bringing with it an exceptional mix of traditional craftsmanship and appropriate modern technology.
