No. 1 on the UK Official chart, over 1.5 Billion Streams, and No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
“Roses” was released by Brooklyn rapper and songwriter Saint Jhn in 2016, however when Imanbek’s now Grammy Winning remix suddenly hit the TikTok and Shazam charts with tsunami effect, Sony Music turned to Neighbourhood to catapult one of 2020’s biggest viral songs to a UK Number 1, and tell the story of one of its most surprisingly unique successes.
The international smash now has over 1.5 Billion Streams, reached No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and reached No. 1 on the UK Official chart.
In 2019, 20-year-old Kazakhstani producer Imanbek was virtually unknown to most of the world yet over the summer of 2020 Neighbourhood landed interviews in the worlds elite entertainment media, with The New York Times, Billboard, Variety and Music Week profiling the young talent alongside features for the track and its cinematic music video across all of the major online platforms from Rolling Stone and Stereogum to dance music specialists Dancing Astronaut and Complex.
By converting curiosity into genuine media advocacy it paved the way to spotlight Imanbeks original productions and subsequent collaborations with the likes of Afrojack and further remixes; creating a truly global voice for a breakthrough producer.
