"...I always want to better myself as a person and as an artist. As an artist, I channel my experiences and challenge myself to push musical boundaries."

Ahead of her highly anticipated EP release ‘Cosmic Blues’, out later this month, EQUATE sat down to chat with the polymath as she continues to break stigmas, embrace her heritage and redefines the music scene one track at a time.

Using her lyrical prowess to break down her worldview, she uses her eloquent and thought-provoking critique of topics such as ‘slut-shaming’, gender-based morals and the media’s role in normalising the misrepresentation of women. Through her first single, ‘Dirty Girls’ taken from the forthcoming EP she reclaims the definition of “Dirty”, demonstrating that talking about sex and sexuality does not affect the woman she is, her credibility or her intellect.

Establishing herself as an artist to be heard, poignant lyricism and dynamic we sat down with the songstress to talk about her artistry, her journey and all things music.
