Sandór Waïss – The Parisian artist & producer unveils the final chapter in his three-part cinematic story

Sandór Waïss was born on the outskirts of Paris were he quickly established himself as one of the spearheads of a new wave in French hip-hop. After 10 years spent producing in the shadows, lending his skills to over 60 albums that earned him both commercial success and praise in the media, Sandór Waïss now sets to write a new chapter in his career through his very personal vision of modern music.

Parisian artist and producer Sandór Waïss today releases Broken Blue. The third act taken from his debut album project of the same name, Broken Blue arrives today with a self-directed cinematic music video.

Gliding between pop and electronic, Broken Blue is the final act in Sandór Waïss’ three-part opening cinematic story. Filmed on location in South America, each video tells the story of a family of coca farmers – questioning the tendency of humans to alternate sublime and cruel moments as they become overwhelmed by the greatness and beauty of the world around them.

First announced in April with the opening single and music video for The Eyes, which was quickly followed up by Kill You, Broken Blue is Sandór Waïss’ debut album. Entirely self-produced, Broken Blue will be released later this year. Written and recorded in the comfort of Sandór’s home studio, and then mixed at Motorbass, the legendary Parisian studios set up by Philippe Zdar where the French Touch movement was born, Broken Blue is a musical and cinematographic journey, offering thoughtful insights into the human condition, with a musical intensity that mixes pop and electronic music and switches between the tragic and the sublime. Sandór has created the album to offer a contemplative vision on the different aspects of human life, where the beauty and the cruel constantly meet.
