An uncensored viral enigma, equine enthusiast, and prolific dance floor specialist, Partiboi 69 has invaded the internet and taken over clublands across the globe. Returning to his own Mutual Pleasure imprint, he releases rave ready EP ‘MUPL002’ landing alongside music video for track A3: ‘Freaking You Out’.
From high-octane, adrenaline fuelled streams, on stage mic interaction and a relentless assault of g-tech inspired cult classics like ‘Freq U All Nite’, ‘Freaky Dreamz’ and ‘Always Keep It 69’, the Mutual Pleasure Records boss been on a fast and X-rated trajectory course to superstardom.
His unique blend of Detroit stye G-tek, Chicago House and filthy Electro amalgamate to create his distinct K-TEK sound. ‘MUPL002 ‘sees the 69-master use hard hitting kick drums, motherboard-melting baselines, computer rhythms and freaky lyrical content across the 6-track collection.
MUPL002 arrives alongside a masterfully directed video for ‘Freaking You Out’, starring Partiboi himself on a mission as a preacher detailing to anarchy. Think; drugs, exorcisms, galloping horses and petrol bombs as a scene for aggressive rave stabs, peak acid lines and dominant vocal hooks.
“Freaking you out is the biggest budget, biggest production I’ve done to date. I worked with long time collaborators Joey Knox (director) and Jesse Gohier-Fleet (DOP) to bring to life a concept I came up with – A drug addicted religious preacher that travels around with his mum/side kick performing weird exorcisms and religious ceremonies to his loyal disciples. It was a super fun shoot and I’m stoked with how the video has come out. We shot it on 16mm, so it looks amazing and both Joey and Jesse are amazing DOPs, so the shots all look super good.” Partiboi 69
The release marks the full launch of Mutual Pleasure where Partiboi 69 will release music from himself and his peers without the risk of oversight or anyone compromising his vision.
