Following the release of Chicago fast riser John Summit’s highly anticipated ‘Human’ on FFRR last year, London’s Joshwa revamps the track with a UK club feel as the first of the official track remixers.
Since its release, ‘Human’ has had 2.5 million global streams, a glorious amount of playlisting support across Apple, Spotify and Radio with multiple Radio 1 plays from Pete Tong, Danny Howard as well as making Arielle Free’s ‘Big Whopper’ this week.
Quickly rising as one of the exciting names to come out of the Underground Dance scene, Joshwa has sat as cover of ‘Dance Rising’ & ‘Operator’ playlists on Spotify. He has released his music on a variety of respected imprints including Repopulate Mars, Cr2, Glasgow Underground, LoveJuice, Spinnin’ Deep and Solotoko.
These releases have seen support from industry leads such as Diplo, Fisher, MK, Chris Lake, DJ Snake, Solardo, Vintage Culture, Sonny Fodera, Dom Dolla, CID, John Summit and Martin Garrix. Last year Joshwa collaborated with Lee Foss on ‘My Humps’. The release hit 7m streams on Spotify, Beatport #1 and was #40 in Billboard’s Hottest Electronic/Dance. This, alongside an exciting touring schedule exemplifies the impact Joshwa has been making with his sound.
