Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra

Having remixed Philip Glass, collaborated with Jamie Jones, produced for Katy B, toured an audio-visual live set, and captivated audiences with her orchestral shows at prestigious venues including The Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican not to mention clubs worldwide, Neighbourhood is very proud to have worked closely with the prolific and vastly experienced musician Kate Simko.

Between 2011 and 2019, Neighbourhood handled various EP’s Singles and remixes, the campaigns of two albums including 2016’s highly anticipated self-titled LP from the all-female London-based string ensemble London Electronic Orchestra plus media attendance at a number of groundbreaking live shows at some of the UK most respected venues.

The group has created a buzz with appearances in a wide range of settings, including the Roundhouse, the Royal Albert Hall, The Jazz Cafe, and the National Gallery in London, (le) Poisson Rouge (New York), The Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago), Heart Ibiza, and at festivals including Latitude, Bestival, WOMAD, Wonderfruit in Thailand, and Festival No 6.

As classic and electronic music worlds collide and despite the album presenting a unique juxtapose for many critics, the album celebrated positive media coverage across a variety of music and culture titles ranging from The Guardian, Vice and The Independent, to strong advocacy within specialist titles such as Mixmag, FACT and Resident Advisor.

Kate’s longterm vision to blend her training as a classical pianist with her passion for electronic music also gained support from broader lifestyle and broadcast media such as Vanity Fair, Red, London Live and Phoenix Magazine with whom she graced the cover of in 2017.
