When the decision was confirmed to give Stardust’s (a collaboration between Alan Braxe, Benjamin Diamond and Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter) ‘Music Sounds Better With You’ the first and only official re-release treatment, Because Music turned to Neighbourhood to ensure that the legacy of one of the most instantly recognisable tunes in house music history was handled with impact.
Initial news of the re-issue received wide pick up ranging from the likes of Pitchfork and Rolling Stone through to FACT and Mixmag.
It was clear that the key to the PR campaign lay with engaging with respected and seasoned journalists capable of capturing the significance of the anniversary. This resulted in long-form opinion pieces appearing in print issues of Mixmag and DJ Mag.
Social video content was also encouraged with key specialists media to ensure that awareness around the digital release was high.
Rare feature interviews took place in Billboard and Music Week which supported a strong marketing roll out that included regionally personalised billboards.
